“…I am creating a project based on my instagram art work/mobile phone photography titled streetwise_e2tm. Its aim is to create a platform inviting participation in and development of the overall program. I will be setting up social media networks which include Instagram, Twitter and Facebook creating work both online and physical which invites mass participation and the development of projects. streetwise_e2tm covers the streets within my neighbourhood in a 1.5km radius and incorporates the street art and graffiti which adorns the public and private spaces in that area. I will be incorporating imagery from a fifteen year archive - which denotes the ever changing popular culture of the area - to present day street art and graffiti using instagram as the software and social media network to start promoting the project. 

 

As part of Culturepreneur Collective©, streetwise_e2tm project will evolve as a platform that addresses the disconnect between arts organisations and specific areas of the community that are more difficult to reach. It focuses on valuing the role of youth workers in accessing this community. The project aims to draw together community members provoking artistic response to their own public spaces within their immediate environment. This in turn will encourage contributors to re-engage with their area, as if looking at it for the first time. Everyone has a voice to be heard and statements to be made. This will be executed by using — as I do — the mobile phone as a tool box with social media sites as virtual galleries. The project aims to develop the artworks on the socio-political statements of the identified community into physical existence. The project streetwise_e2tm has in part been developed with focus on The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights Article 19 & Article 27”
