Prince Rapid is a producer/rapper and an original member of the East London rap group, Ruff Sqwad. He is a long standing pioneer of grime music.   His productions feature on Tinchy Stryder’s first two albums, Prince Rapid has also composed and produced tracks for heavy weight UK talents like Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, Boy Better Know, Kano, Asher D, Chipmunk, Wiley, Wretch 32 and international Jamaican star, Movado. Not only has Prince Rapid completed UK tours at massive venues including o2 Arena and Hammersmith Apollo with Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk and Devlin, he has also performed at the Round House, the BBC1 Weekender, and at a number of shows across Europe.

 

Prince Rapid is a strong believer and advocate of community youth projects. He plays a big role in using preventative methods including educating and motivating children from troubled backgrounds. Since the year 2010, Prince has been a tutor and a mentor to students through teaching production and studio skills. Through teaching his students new creative skills and aiding them in discovering their dreams, uncovering their prospects and developing their passions, Prince went on to establish his own organisation called New Build Creative Resources. This is an organisation that has been set up by Prince with an aim to educate young people in key skills and music industry knowledge, giving them opportunities to earn qualifications and acquire lucrative job placements.

 

Prince Rapid and SEEit Working Trust are also currently working with Fab Lab London on their digital technology fabrication education and development strategy, which includes working collaboratively with schools, youth workers and a range of stakeholders to develop a music based educational product to engage hard to reach boys in STEAM subjects and progression opportunities.

We continued to work with Prince, and during 2016-2020 helped him and Ebs develop Ruff Sqwad Arts Foundation from registering as a charity to becoming an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation
